A course for those who only do music as a hobby, notes and block flute for the first time.
You will learn:
- Note literacy (where which note is spelled);
- Rhythm basics (learn how to determine the duration of notes);
- Notation and finger placement on the block flute;
- Extracting quality sound, specifics of low and high notes;
- Play more than 25 well-known melodies.
- All melodies are analyzed in detail: how to read the notes, how to count the rhythm and play evenly, what fingers are on the flute. All this you will slowly learn together with the video, then play with accompaniment.
- Result: after studying the course, you will be able to play melodies by yourself using notes found on the Internet or in songbooks.

Part I
Lesson 1: What the flute is made of. Posture, seating, finger position, breathing. Sequence of sounds: do re mi fa sol la si do. The first sounds: do si la sol.
Lesson 2: Peculiarities of extracting low sounds. Notes fa mi re do.
Lesson 3: Coordination. Practicing to quickly find notes on the block flute. The whole gamma.
Lesson 4. Ways of sound production. Legato, non legato. How to make a beautiful sound and stop “howling”.
Part II
Lesson 1. The musical staff, the treble clef, how notes are written. Octaves.
Lesson 2: The notes C re mi fa on the musical board. How to memorize them. Small examples from the sheet.
Lesson 3: The notes G A B C on the sheet music. Memorization, examples.
Lesson 4: Playing the notes without looking at your fingers. Gamma up and down, exercises.
Part III
Lesson 1: How rhythm is written in notes. Lengths and their counting: whole, half, eighth, sixteenths. Clapping rhythms.
Lesson 2. Size, beat, beat line, what they are for.
Part IV
Lesson 1: Diez, B flat, their meaning, location on the keyboard and recording.
Lesson 2: C-sharp and D-sharp: position of fingers, recording in notes. A short piece with dieses.
Lesson 3: F-sharp: fingering, notation. Dies and bemols in the key.
Part V
Lesson 1: Second octave notes: Do re Mi Fa. Peculiarities of “mining” high sounds, or how to get your neighbor.
Lesson 2: Continuing to learn high notes.
Part VI
Lesson 1: Second octave C-sharp and melody.
